3/4/6/8 Inch Fixed Base X-Y Dual Axis Cross Slide Precision Drill & Milling Vice

3/4/6/8 Inch Fixed Base X-Y Dual Axis Cross Slide Precision Drill & Milling Vice

Heavy stress-relieved cast iron two-axis cross slide machine vise with integrated fixed rigid base (no rotary swivel plate). Equipped with dual independent calibrated micrometer handwheels for precise X/Y linear positioning, available in 4 standard jaw sizes (3",4",6",8"). Matched with bench drill presses, small vertical milling machines and engraving mills. Enables multi-coordinate drilling, tapping and light milling without repeated workpiece re-clamping; fixed base design delivers stronger anti-vibration rigidity for stable heavy conventional cutting.

Description

This fixed-base XY cross compound vise is optimized for high-rigidity multi-position conventional machining, removing the rotary swivel base to eliminate rotational clearance gaps and boost overall clamping stability. The whole frame adopts high-grade gray cast iron with full aging stress relief annealing, paired with wear-resistant trapezoidal lead screws and fully quenched precision ground jaws, balancing flexible dual-axis positioning and heavy cutting resistance.
  1. Independent X/Y Dual Axis Precision Fine Adjustment Cross Slide
Two separate metal handwheels with engraved micrometer scales independently control X-axis horizontal left-right travel and Y-axis longitudinal front-back travel. Accurate linear feed allows operators to shift workpieces to multiple machining coordinates in one single setup, eliminating repeated disassembly, alignment and re-clamping, greatly improving batch drilling & tapping efficiency.
  2. Integral Fixed Rigid Base without Rotary Plate
Canceled the bottom 360° rotary base of compound vises; one-piece thick cast base directly mounts onto machine T-slots with no loose rotation clearance. Excellent anti-vibration performance prevents workpiece offset and chatter marks during rough milling and heavy stock removal cutting, ideal for mass production of regular flat metal parts.
  3. Replaceable Hardened Precision Ground Alloy Steel Jaws
Fixed and movable jaws are forged from high-hardness carbon steel, fully quenched and mirror precision ground to maintain ultra-high flatness and parallelism. Anti-slip serrated inner surfaces provide strong friction grip to stop blanks sliding under cutting force; worn jaws can be disassembled and replaced separately to lower long-term workshop fixture costs.
  4. Self-locking Wear-resistant Trapezoidal Lead Screw
Large-diameter trapezoidal screw with built-in self-locking structure locks the slide position automatically during cutting, avoiding coordinate drift caused by machine vibration. Smooth sliding movement reduces hand-cranking labor intensity for long-shift continuous workshop operation.
  5. Complete Multi-inch Size Series Full Equipment Coverage
Four mature mainstream specifications cover miniature bench drill presses, small engraving mills and medium vertical milling equipment. Each vise is packed in an independent shockproof export carton to protect calibrated sliding guide surfaces from scratch damage during overseas logistics transportation.
